Asthma Linked to ED

Asthma Linked to ED

Erectile dysfunction has been previously linked to many other diseases like diabetes, blood pressure, and heart disorders. According to the latest claims made by the scientists, Asthma is linked to erectile dysfunction (ED). Asthma is the disease of lungs that occurs due to the irritation of the airways. The airways of people with asthma are extra sensitive to the things they’re allergic to (called allergens) and to other irritating things in the air (called irritants). Around 20 million of Americans suffer from the asthma. In simple words, asthma is a chronic (long-term) disease that makes it hard to breathe. According to the latest research it has been proved that men suffering with asthma are more prone to erectile dysfunction or you can say that asthma and erectile dysfunction are linked.

Asthma is caused due to the certain respiratory infections during childhood, contact with some airborne allergens or exposure to some viral infections in infancy or in early childhood when the immune system is developing, and by an inherited tendency to develop allergies, called atopy. Asthma is also said to be hereditary, it means that if parents are suffering with asthma then the child will suffer from the asthma. Asthma occurring due to the hereditary reasons is very low.

Erectile dysfunction is the condition observed in the men when they are unable to obtain the erection or sustain the erection for the ample period of time during the sexual encounter. Lack of blood supply to the penis is considered to be the main factor that contributes to the erectile dysfunction. Heart disorders, diabetes, kidney problems, blood pressure, bleeding disorders, atherosclerosis, Peyronie’s disease, Liver disorders, and obesity are the diseases that contribute to the less blood supply to the penis during the sexual activity and finally to the erectile dysfunction. Daily lifestyle stress and tensions are also found to cause the erectile dysfunction in many individuals. Anxiety caused by the performance pressure in the bed also leads to the erectile dysfunction. And, according to the latest survey, even asthma causes erectile dysfunction in men.

To know the relationship between the asthma and erectile dysfunction, a study was conducted by the group of scientists. Two hundred men suffering with asthma were included in the study. In the study these men were put for the questionnaire regarding there sex life. Out of 200 men, 150 men complained about the unsatisfactory sex life. Eighty-seven men were not able to get the erection during the sexual activity and 63 men were not able to hold the erection during the sex. This made it clear that erectile dysfunction was found to be prominent among the asthma patients. Around 75% of the men suffering with asthma were facing erectile dysfunction during the sexual copulation.

Asthma reduces the amount of oxygen in the body and this is turn disturbs the blood supply from the heart to the different parts of the body. The blood supply to the penis is also affected due to the asthma. This leads the lack of blood supply to the penis during the sexual encounter and finally man becomes prone to the erectile dysfunction. Asthma also damages the arteries that supply blood to the different parts of the body. Thus, gradually the arteries that supply blood to the penis are also damaged. This tends to the lack of blood supply to the penis that leads to the erectile dysfunction in men. During the study men suffering with asthma and erectile dysfunction were given a dosage of drugs like Kamagra, Zenegra, or Caverta. After taking these drugs those men were able to get the strong, hard, and long lasting erections. Thus, men with asthma can use these drugs to get rid of erectile dysfunction.
